Moraira has to be experienced to be able to take full advantage of its unique relaxed, calm, and friendly atmosphere, with diversity of holiday makers coming mainly from all over Europe.

The town of Moraira has three excellent blue flag beaches, El Portet is a secluded bay with a sandy beach with showers and beach bars a perfect place to end your day and watch the sunset, the two other beaches are in the town of Moraira and have an activity area for children and more beach bars and cafes. There are dive centres in Moraira which offer an assortment of diving areas along the coast. Jet skis can also be hired and there are regular accompanied trips on the jet skis along the coast. There is also a fun fair and a go-karting track suitable for all ages.

The marina in Moraira is one of the best on the Costa Blanca, the club nautico offers an excellent dining and drinking facilities, either for morning coffee, afternoon tea or an evening drink the relaxed atmosphere watching the boats makes home feel a long way away.

 

 

Moraira has an abundance of boutiques, jewellery, and home interior shops to browse at your leisure. On Friday mornings there is a market with stalls selling fruit and veg, clothes and nic naks. There is an excellent choice of restaurants, ranging from A' la carte dining to pizzerias, Chinese, Indian, English and of course authentic Spanish restaurants. Apart from the beach bars Moraira offers wonderful array of watering holes where you can sit and enjoy a drink watching the world go by. In the evenings there is also a variety of disco bars for the younger generation!

About half an hour’s drive from moraira is the bustling resort of Benidorm; this offers a water park called Aqualandia and a theme park called Terramitica. These are excellent days out for children and adults alike, information on these can be found in an information folder provided for you within the villa.

You will be able to see live music most nights of the week either in Moraira itself or within the local area.  Information is given out daily on the local radio stations or the two local newspapers (Costa Blanca News / CB Friday) which come out on Fridays provide this information and can be bought at any local newsagent.  There are also weekly and monthly freebee magazines/newspapers (such as the Euro Weekly, Out & About, Round Town News etc) which also provide up to date information on fiestas/markets etc.  These can be found in a variety of locations.

Also in the information pack are details of the local medical services, there is an excellent doctor who will see you on the NHS if you take an European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you these can be obtained on Line at www.dh.gov.uk/travellers or the booklet “HEALTH ADVICE FOR TRAVELLERS” available from the post office.

There is also a Blue Cross private medical centre where you can be seen, you will have to pay for your treatment and then claim it back on your medical insurance when you return home. Both of these services are very efficient and professional.
